Independent developer Systems & AI engineer

Sambhav Jain

I design and build websites, apps, automations and AI tools for businesses — priced plainly, delivered on time, and yours to keep.

I build local-first apps, offline mesh protocols, code-intelligence tooling for AI agents, and hardware-backed products — end to end, from protocol to Play Store.

What I can build for you

Tell me what's slowing your business down. These are the things I build most often — in plain words, with starting prices.

The services I sell, with the stack I usually reach for. Every project is handed over in full — code, accounts and all.

Websites, stores & apps

A fast site people find on Google and contact you from — or a full online store, booking system or Android app you run yourself.

  • Clinic or salon with online booking
  • Shop that takes payments by UPI & card
  • Your business on the Play Store

HTML/JS · Next.js · Node · PostgreSQL / Firebase · Razorpay · Capacitor / Flutter

From ₹5,000What's included

WhatsApp & automation

Every form, order and enquiry lands in one place, your team gets an instant WhatsApp alert, and customers get their confirmations — nobody copies data by hand.

  • New lead → Google Sheet → WhatsApp alert
  • Automatic order & booking confirmations
  • Payment and renewal reminders

n8n · WhatsApp Business (Cloud) API · Google Sheets API · Webhooks

From ₹4,000 per workflowWhat's included

AI assistants

Trained on your prices, services and FAQs, it replies on your website or WhatsApp in seconds — and passes the tricky questions to you.

  • Answers pricing & availability questions
  • Collects the customer's details for you
  • Hands over to a person when needed

OpenAI / Gemini / Claude APIs · Retrieval over your documents · Local models via Ollama

From ₹12,000What's included

Smart devices & prototypes

Sensors, automation hardware and working prototypes — from a single device to a small batch — connected to your phone or dashboard.

  • Sensor alerts sent to your phone
  • Kiosk and display devices
  • A working prototype of your product idea

Things I've built

My own products, designed and built end to end. The same skills go into client work — ask me about any of them.

Selected systems. Two are open source; the rest are private and I'm happy to walk through them on a call.

Selected work08 projects
  1. Fact-checks AI coding assistants, so they stop making things up about your code.

Deterministic AST + call-graph evidence for AI coding agents, served over MCP.

    Open sourceTypeScript · Tree-sitter · MCPDeveloper tool

  2. A study app that shows each flashcard just before you'd forget it. Works offline.

Local-first spaced repetition on SQLite with FSRS scheduling and a Shadow DOM card sandbox.

Open sourceJavaScript · SQLite · Electron · CapacitorAndroid & desktop app

  3. Messaging that works with no internet or mobile signal — phones pass messages along until they arrive.

Delay-tolerant encrypted mesh: Rust protocol core, BLE discovery, Wi-Fi Direct bulk transfer, Noise XX.

PrivateRust · Flutter FFI · BLE · Wi-Fi DirectMobile app

  4. A focus and productivity system across phone, web and a dedicated desk device, with an AI assistant.

Multi-device focus sessions with a Firestore lease lock, Gemini assistant and a Raspberry Pi kiosk.

PrivateJavaScript · Capacitor · Firebase · Raspberry PiApp + hardware

  5. A PDF reader for phones with realistic page turns, speed reading and an offline dictionary.

Flutter reader with memory-bounded page-turn recycling and an RSVP engine with ORP alignment.

PrivateFlutter · Dart · PDFiumMobile app

  6. A personal AI assistant that runs entirely on your own computer — your files never leave it.

Local-first AI workspace: Ollama backend, inspectable markdown memory, multimodal ingestion.

PrivatePython · Ollama · GemmaDesktop AI tool

  7. A library of 90+ ready-made buttons, loaders and interface pieces for web projects.

Multi-framework component library — React, Vue, Svelte and vanilla — with a live explorer.

PrivateReact · Vite · TailwindDesign system

  8. The browser experiment where Lumium's ideas were first tried out.

Offline PWA prototype that validated focus mechanics and audio synthesis before Lumium.

Engineering notes

Things that broke, and what I changed. The first design is rarely the one that ships.

Decisions & post-mortems04 entries
Hypha BLE-only transport → hybrid BLE + Wi-Fi Direct ~20 KB/s → 12+ MB/s bulk0 bytes of internet
First approach
BLE for discovery and for payload transfer.
What failed
Fine for handshakes and tiny messages. A hard ~20 KB/s ceiling for media, voice bundles and larger packets.
What changed
BLE
├── discovery (advertisement packets)
├── proximity presence
└── Noise XX handshake
Wi-Fi Direct
├── opportunistic group-owner negotiation
└── bulk bundle transfer (12+ MB/s)
Result
Hybrid asynchronous DTN transport; zero bytes of internet used end to end.
Lumium Last-write-wins sync → transactional ActiveTimerLease Single owner per session15 s lease TTL
First approach
Client-side timestamp comparison (last write wins).
What failed
Clock skew across phone, web and kiosk clients produced duplicate concurrent focus sessions and ghost sessions.
What changed
ActiveTimerLease
├── Firestore transaction acquires the lease
├── 15-second heartbeat renewal
└── automatic reclaim when a client disappears
Result
One device owns a focus session at a time, across every platform, without relying on client clocks.
Unravel Raw files into the prompt → deterministic AST evidence Claims verified against sourceTree-sitter
First approach
Feeding raw repository files straight into LLM prompts.
What failed
The model invented function signatures and missed cross-file call dependencies in large repositories.
What changed
source → Tree-sitter → symbol table / call graph
→ MCP tool server → LLM → verification pass
Result
The model never becomes the source of truth — the AST does. Claims that don't exist in the code are flagged.
Erudite Global card DOM → isolated Shadow DOM sandbox No style bleedDOMPurify
First approach
Injecting user-authored card templates directly into the page.
What failed
Custom card CSS leaked out and broke navigation, buttons and the responsive layout.
What changed
card HTML → DOMPurify (strict) → Shadow DOM root
Result
Full style encapsulation for LaTeX, formulas and rich-text cards.

How a project runsFour steps
  1. 01

    Call

A short call to understand what you need and what it should do for your business.

  2. 02

    Quote

A written quote with the scope, final price and timeline. Nothing starts until you agree.

  3. 03

    Build

Work begins on the advance. You see progress as it's built and give feedback along the way.

  4. 04

    Launch

Final payment, go-live, and a full handover of code, files and accounts.

  • Payment 50% in advance to begin, 50% before go-live.
  • Ownership Code, designs and accounts are fully yours once the final payment is made.
  • Running costs Domain, hosting, Play Store, WhatsApp and AI fees are billed at actual cost, in your name.
